Idene Roozbayani is a Newcastle based photographer whos work is well worth a look. Idene is experienced in shooting seemingly everything, even stuff you didn’t know existed, like roller derby.

Directed by Simon Gesrel and Xavier Ehretsmann this vid for french duo Zombie Zombie (Etienne Jaumet and Cosmic Neman) is a few years old now but no less impressive than the first time I saw it.
The video plays homage to John Carpenter’s classic film The Thing. The use of 80′s G.I Joe figures (Action Force over here), vehicles and accesories and the way the video sticks so tightly to the original film is brilliant. The sets are especially impressive.
To celebrate the full video hitting 14,000 views on our youtube channel I knocked this vid up from some of the footage from the Geordie Slang Like This video shoots for Aems. Ok so it was nothing to do with the youtube hits, I just wanted to make it.

We were commisioned recently by new London based house DJ duo SlavzIIhouse to document their set at the newly rejuvinated Love at Digital nightclub in Newcastle.
The DJs supplied the music and logo.
We are pleased to announce the winners of the Sodium Music competition are Anna Leigh & The Kings after going through to public vote they won by a massive margin.

As part of the prize we will be making a music video for the band, they also win a recording session at Blank Studios, a photoshoot with Dan Walkinshaw and a 100 boxed CDs with full artwork from ODM, as well as having a live gig aranged by Sodium Music and being on their books, quite a prize!

Just finished the music video for the Geordie version of ‘Slang Like This’ by True Tiger feat P Money. Aems together with Coderoom Studios have given the track a Geordie makeover.

In 2006 poet Paul Summers and former Lindisfarne guitarist Dave Hull-Denholm produced ‘home in 3 bits’ as a collaboration
“It is the soundtrack to a “never-to-be-made Northumbrian road-movie, a secular requiem, a touching elegy to a little girl lost.”
Other artists featured include: Rod Clements, Ian Thomson, Greg Pullen & Cathy Donellly.
Paul gave me a copy of the album, I instantly loved it and with permision shot some footage to accompany some of the tracks.

Back in November Generator commisioned us to film their new series of seminars called Music Futures. The seminars are about every aspect of the future of music, if you are involved in the music industry in any way you should have a look.
Today we finished the promo for the next events which are in Leeds on March 30th. They involve speakers from Universal, AIM, Orchard, PRS, FAC, Music Ally and Pledge Music the details of which can be found on The Music Futures Leeds page.
